Every Child Matters
|
This national approach sets out 5 Outcomes for children and young
people, which everyone working with and for children should aim to
achieve for every child.
Briefly, the 5 Outcomes are:
1. Being healthy…enjoying good physical and mental health, and
living a healthy lifestyle.
2. Staying safe…being protected from harm and neglect.
3. Enjoying and achieving …getting the most out of life and
developing the skills for adulthood.
4. Making a positive contribution …being involved with the community
and society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behaviour
5. Achieving economic well-being …not being prevented by economic
disadvantage from achieving their full potential in life.

One day, people brought their little children to Jesus and asked him
to bless them.
But the disciples scolded them and tried to turn them away.
“Don’t bother Jesus now,” they said. “Can’t you see he’s busy?”
But Jesus called the children to him.
“Let them come to me,” he said. “Don’t stop them. For the kingdom of
God belongs to people like this. Only those who come to God like
little children will enter his kingdom.”
Then he took them in his arms and prayed that God would bless them.
