Welcome to Year 1!

Highlight of the week 21/09/26: We have had 2 great Glock-Rock lessons with Mrs Searle so far this half-term. We have shown some excellent listening and concentration, which has enabled us to have a lot of fun! We took it in turns to use the drum to play the syllables in our names. We then used the 'sound worms' in time with the beat of a song. Finally, we used the glocks to join in with a song, carefully keeping in time with the beat. We can't wait for our next lesson!

Highlight of the week 07/09/26: We have had a fantastic start to our new school year. We have settled back into school really well, learning new routines and lessons. We have enjoyed getting started on our text, 'Jasper's Beanstalk', as well as grouping and counting objects in Maths, painting a self-portrait, learning about different body parts in Science and having our topic launch day this week to start our 'Back in my day' history topic. In PE we have been learning how to control a ball with our feet and play team games. A fun-filled few days back!
