Welcome to Year 2!

Highlight of the week 6/10/25: Year 2 had a wonderful time in their first Forest School session of the year! 
The children created beautiful maple leaves to display in our very own ‘Leafy Library’ and worked together to clear the sweet chestnut cases from the forest floor. What a fantastic start to our outdoor adventures!

Highlight of the week 22/09/25: Year 2 had a fantastic time taking part in a drama workshop this week. The children explored storytelling through movement, expression, and role-play, bringing characters and scenes to life with great enthusiasm. They worked brilliantly together, building confidence and creativity while having lots of fun. It was wonderful to see their imaginations shine and their teamwork skills grow throughout the session.

Highlight of the week 8/09/25: We’ve had a wonderful first week back at school, and we are so proud of how quickly the children have settled into their new routines. It’s been lovely to see so many smiling faces and such a positive start to the new term. This week, we also launched our exciting new geography topic: Exploring London! The children had a fantastic time diving into the sights, sounds, and stories of our capital city. From famous landmarks to red double-decker buses, there’s been a real buzz of curiosity and enthusiasm in the classroom. Keep it up, everyone! Here’s to a term full of learning, adventure, and discovery!
